JSAF’s “5775: Give It A Rest, Educators’ Resource” by Libby Burkeman, Movement for Reform Judaism, Rabbi Natan Levy, Board of Deputies of British Jews, Robin Moss, UJIA, Ruth Newman, Tzedek and Claire Nacamuli, JHub, provides formal and informal educators with the tools to teach and apply Shmita, the sabbatical year of rest and release, for the Shmita year 5775, that starts this Rosh Hashanah, Sept 2014. The resource has five sections from which educators can pick and choose to teach about Shmita and its modern applications. Created by Rabbi Nina Beth Cardin
This seder was created to welcome in the Shmita (Sabbatical) year. It is a template meant to be celebrated, enjoyed and adapted as participants desire.
Please share your adaptations, improvements, suggestions, etc with Rabbi Nina Beth Cardin at ncardin@comcast.net so we can have a record of what this year brought and the grist to refine the seder for the next shmita year (5782).
